How To Prevent Coronavirus

There is currently no vaccine to prevent infection. The best way to do so is to avoid exposure to this virus. The following precautions has been recommended for every day living to help prevent the spread of the virus.


1. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Especially before, during, and after preparing food. Hands should be washed before eating food.




2. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands. It is a common route to infection for many of the contagious diseases.


3. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Protect yourself with masks and gloves, in case you have to take care of someone . Wash thoroughly /disinfect your hands before and after caring for someone who is sick.


4. If you have flu-like symptoms, stay at home. That is the best thing you can do to your friends and colleagues.


5. When you are sick, avoid close contact with others including your family members.


6. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue while coughing or sneezing, then throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands.


7. Clean and disinfect things and surfaces that people are likely to touch.


There is no specific antiviral treatment recommended for 2019-nCoV infection. People who are infected should receive supportive care to help relieve symptoms. For severe cases, treatment should include care to support vital organ functions.
People who think they may have been exposed to the virus should contact their health care provider immediately.
