Members of Kano Coronavirus Taskforce Committee including its Co-Chairman Professor Abdurazak Habib Garba, have tested positive for the novel Coronavirus.
This is coming after the chairman of the Committee and Deputy Governor Kano State, Nasiru Gawuna, have gone into self isolation after making contact with those tested positive.
The Taskforce Committee on COVID-19 was established by Governor Ganduje to find a remedy to the rapid spread of the disease.
The Committee, which has been working daily on how to stop the spread of the diseases, was also responsible for identifying most of those said to be positive.
With the development, the total number of people affected in Kano now stands at 27.
A Commissioner in the government of Abdullahi Umar Ganduje was also reported to have tested positive for the virus.
